A Whole School Evaluation was recently undertaken in our school and subsequently a report has been published.  It highlights the high standard of teaching and learning which takes place in Ballyea N.S. and points to the 'exceptional committment' of our teachers. The 'sterling support' from a 'highly effective' Board of Management and the 'pivotal role which our parents and community play in the success of the school is also noted. It can be viewed by clicking on the attached pdf file.

Yesterday, parents, John Wall (Rachel's dad) and Micheal Neylon (Hannah May and Barry's dad) visited Ballyea NS and gave a fantastic presentation on energy, the need to conserve energy and on how we can protect the environment. The class then got a chance to take a seat in the Mitsubishi Electric Car. We learned that it has a range of approximately 120km, is powered solely by charging (plugging it in) and is about a seventh of the cost to run when compared to fossil fuels. Even some of the teachers had a spin! Amazingly the car is totally silent when running and moving. Míle buíochas ó rang a sé don bheirt!
